Access Port (Pat. Pend.)
The Studio Pro 17 incorporates Evenheat's new relay access port (Pat. Pend.) for simple, no-panel-off relay replacement.
Simply remove the plate to gain access to the service part. There's
no need to remove or swing the entire control panel out of the way and
dig into the internal wiring. It's absolutely simple and effective and
all it takes is a simple screwdriver!
Front Access
Front access is perfect for glass placement, particularly with
glass that can't be disturbed once placed. Simply build on your shelf
and close the chamber. Front access is also great when using
manipulation tools that require a horizontal approach such as raking or
glass roll ups.
The large 17" x 17" x 6.5" chamber of the Studio Pro 17 is the
largest 120V glass kiln in the industry and uses a 16" x 16" shelf to
give you the maximum usable area.
Swing View Adjustable Control
The Swing View Adjustable Control is a pivoting, swing-up
enclosure that allows the user to rotate the control to a comfortable
viewing and programming angle. it is that simple. You're going to really
enjoy this feature.
The Swing View Adjustable Control is stock equipped on the Studio Pro 17 RM with TAP or Rampmaster controls.
Top access is excellent for venting. Top access also works very
well when loading forms and comes in very handy when using manipulation
tools that require a vertical approach such as glass embossing.
Wonderful Handles
We've fitted the Studio Pro 17 with two wonderfully wide and
sturdy bar handles. These corner mounted handles are placed well away
from the kiln for easy operation. you'll enjoy using them.
If
you're familiar with Evenheat you know we love handles. Handles provide
access and they should be designed for the job, be comfortable and easy
to use.
Wall-Free Design
With front access, the Studio Pro 17 offers the artist a
wall-free work surface. The wall-free design provides wide open space
for the precision placement of your glass. There's nothing to fight or
work around. It's an incredible design feature that essentially defines
the Studio Pro 17.
The large 17" x 17" x 6.5" chamber of the Studio Pro 17 is the
largest glass kiln in the industry and uses a 16" x 16" shelf to give
you maximum usable area.

Instruments and SDS Industries to bring you the best in performance,
features and programming ease.

Fiber Lid Construction
Evenheats fiber lid construction offers a faster heat-up than
traditional 120V firebrick designs, about 50% faster. This faster firing
potential reduces or completely eliminates devitrification.
The lid of the Studio Pro 17 is constructed of a special fiber
material that provides excellent thermal properties along with light
weight. This design allows the heating elements to be positioned on the
surface for maximum heat transfer and firing efficiency. We also
position these lid heating elements left to right to prevent them from
sagging or bunching-up with repeated opening and closing. It's a small
but important detail that guarantees performance and satisfaction over
the life of the kiln.
The Studio Pro 17's well engineered lid uses
a variety of design principles to deliver strength, material support
and flex where needed. Strength is provided by the center lid truss and
the shrewd use of metal bends. Material support is accomplished via a
matrix of refractory rods and buttons. Flex is properly found in the
stainless band ringing the lid itself. It works very well.
Corner Mounting Technique
The corners of the kiln body and lid provide excellent strength
for mounting. The flat sides of the kiln don't offer this strength,
especially on square shaped kilns. We install our load bearing hinge,
lid vent and lid handle brackets on these corners for this reason.
Longer life, high reliability: solid design makes a difference.
Bench Top Operation
The Studio Pro 17 is designed to be placed directly on your
counter or bench top or within the included floor stand. The choice is
yours.
Bench top operation positions the kiln at waist level for very comfortable front access use.
Please note that counters and bench tops must be constructed of non-combustible material.
Floor Stand Included
The Studio Pro 17 is supplied with a 16" stand for optional
floor placement if desired. Floor stand operation positions the kiln
perfectly for top access.
Properly Sized Stand
We don't design our stands to fit into our kilns for shipping.
We design our stands to support our kilns in use. Our stands properly
distribute the weight of the kiln and are made wide to prevent tipping
or offsetting. You won't find our stands in our kilns but you'll be
happy to know they're beneath them.
